Hiking Trails The Green Trail starting at Chalet No. 1 is about an hour long circular river/picnic trail (approx 2.5 km) - moderate fitness required. The Red Trail joins the Green Trail - about 2 and a half hour (approx 6km) - need to be reasonably fit and enjoy walking. Red Trail is the Game Trail. It is also a circular route

Croc Paddling 1hour 30min to 2hour croc paddling trip down the Breede River.
R150.00 per person (including children). Trips are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays - bookings to be made in advance. Saturday trips need to be booked and paid for on a Friday. If no bookings are made on a Friday for the Saturday there will be no trip available. There are no trips on a Sunday. All trips are subject to weather conditions.

If you are coming in on the N2 it is not necessary to go into Swellendam town
Carry on, on the N2 heading in the direction of George for another 9km s until you see the BP garage (with farm animals) on your right
Turn right here (You will see a red and white Stonehill board on the wall)
You will cross over a railway line, then you will see a Malgas sign board - just keep on going straight - do not take the Malgas turn
You will pass a school on your left and the road changes from a tar road to a gravel road
Keep travelling straight on for a further 2.6 km s and then you will see another red and white Stonehill board on your left
Turn left here and carry on up the hill
You will then see another red and white Stonehill board advising you that you have a further 3km to travel to our gate
When you are at the gate call the no. that has been given to you from your cell phone and the gate will open. (DO NOT PUNCH IN THE NO. ON THE PAD)
You will see a brown thatch house on the hill - this is not part of the Lodge - please stick to the road and follow it down to the river
Here you will see a paved area and a small thatch reception office
If you are coming from Cape Town on the N1 - meet up with the N2 and then follow above directions
